Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how RaqabaIQ (“RIQ”, “we”, “us”, “our”), operated by Raqaba and Muslim Xchange Inc., collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use raqabaiq.com, the RaqabaIQ member platform and the RaqabaIQ API (together, the “Platform”). We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and other privacy laws where they apply.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, organization, job title or role, and phone number if you provide it.
- Membership records — membership details, invoices and payment status. Payments are handled offline; the Platform does not process card payments and does not store card numbers.
- Content you enter — watchlists, portfolio holdings you enter manually, saved screens and display preferences. RaqabaIQ does not connect to brokerage accounts.
- Usage and technical data — IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, features used, timestamps, login history and API request logs.
- Communications — messages you send us through the contact form or by email, including support requests.
2. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- create and manage your account and provide the Platform to you;
- authenticate users, secure the Platform and prevent misuse;
- manage memberships, invoicing and payment records;
- respond to your enquiries and provide support;
- send service-related emails, such as account notices, security alerts and changes to the Platform or these policies;
- monitor usage, enforce our Terms & Conditions and improve the Platform, using aggregated or de-identified data wherever possible; and
- comply with legal obligations.
We do not send marketing emails without your consent, and we do not sell or rent personal information. The Platform carries no advertising.
3. How we share your information
We share personal information only as needed to operate the Platform and as described here:
- Between the operators — Raqaba and Muslim Xchange Inc. share account and usage information with each other as needed to operate and support the Platform.
- Service providers — our technology provider and its hosting, security, email-delivery and market-data vendors, who process information on our behalf, only as needed to run the Platform and under confidentiality obligations.
- Professional advisers — accountants, lawyers and auditors, where necessary.
- Legal requirements — where required by law, regulation, court order or a lawful request from a public authority, or to protect our rights, users or the public.
- Business transfers — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
4. Cookies
The Platform uses strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in, protect against security threats and remember your display preferences. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Because the Platform is available only to signed-in members, disabling cookies will prevent you from using it.
5. Storage and international transfers
Personal information is stored on secure servers in Canada and may be processed in other countries where our service providers operate. When information is processed outside Canada, it may be subject to the laws of that country. We take reasonable steps, including contractual protections, to ensure it remains protected.
6. Retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed for the purposes described above. After your membership ends, we delete or anonymize your account information within a reasonable period, except for records we are required to keep by law (such as invoices and tax records) and security logs kept for a limited time.
7. Security
We protect personal information with technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls and restricted administrative access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your login credentials confidential and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may:
- request access to the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements; and
- withdraw your consent to our use of your information, which may mean we can no longer provide the Platform to you.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@raqabaiq.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your local privacy authority.
9. Children
The Platform is intended for professional use and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Third-party links
The Platform may link to external websites. This policy does not apply to those sites, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page with a new “Last updated” date and, where a change is material, make reasonable efforts to notify you by email.
12. Contact
